6 am - Noon Sunday Nov. 22: All lanes of traffic paced intermittently on GA 400 NB/SB between Hammond Dr. and Abernathy Rd. and on I-285 EB/WB ramps to GA 400 NB. Motorists should expect heavy delays Sunday morning and are strongly advised to use alternate routes.

5 am Wed. Nov. 25 - Midnight Sun. Nov. 29: To make traveling easier over the upcoming Thanksgiving holidays, Georgia DOT will suspend construction-related lane closures on interstates and major state routes.

Expect heavy holiday traffic the Wednesday before and the Sunday after Thanksgiving, two of the busiest travel days of the year.

• Wednesday: Rush-hour could start as early as Noon and continue through 7 p.m.
• Friday: Traffic will be heavy throughout the day around malls and retail centers.
• Sunday: Traffic is expected to be heavy throughout the day and evening as travelers head home.
